My Wellness Journey
My wellness journey began at an early age when I began to wonder why I would get sick after consuming certain meals. Suffering from various digestive disorders, along with an ever-increasing list of maladies such as allergies, low energy, weight fluctuations, aches and pains, skin problems, PMS and menstrual cramps and ‘not feeling great’ most of the time, finally led to the wake-up call I needed to make a change. Fed up with feeling sick and tired and filled with a desire to discover a solution that nature, not modern technology, could offer, I decided to investigate the world of alternative therapies such as naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and accupressure, massage, Chinese medicine, etc.
The more I tried new things, the more I became enlightened about how to heal myself, that is, becoming more in tune with the natural rhythms of life which always led back to good nutrition. Once a passion for this area emerged, I decided to seek formalized training and certifications in clinical nutrition and holistic health counseling. My life experience, combined with a comprehensive education in clinical nutrition and holistic health counseling, has led to a greater understanding of how whole foods can heal the body, mind and spirit. This journey has served as my springboard for making the necessary personal dietary and lifestyles changes required to restore my overall health and wellness. Filled with restored health and vitality - free from chemicals, junk foods and artificial solutions - I have a new found purpose and a greater appreciation of how to nourish and heal myself as well as create balance in my life. Eager to share my wisdom with others, I am now fulfilling my passion by working with people who also wish to achieve optimal health and wellness for themselves.
